2024 Bathroom Design Trends

In the year 2024 bathrooms are becoming more than just a practical space.

Bathrooms are evolving into a peaceful haven of comfort and eco-conscious design.

2024 is all about a fascinating blend of technological innovation, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal.

Eco

Sustainability is a big buzzword this year and this is showing in smart water-saving fixtures. Touchless faucets and intelligent showers conserve valuable resources while also bringing that modern and tech-savvy edge to your bathroom. You will start seeing options that allow you to customize water temperature, flow, and even timing. This gives you luxury and eco-friendliness all in one package.

At Welcome Home Kitchen and Bath we offer Grohe shower faucets with Smart Control this lets you choose the outlet, waterflow and temperature.

We also offer water-efficient fixtures from Moen who carries faucets that use up to 45% less water, they conserve significantly less water with a 1.2 gallon per minute flow rate.

Delta helps you conserve water without compromising performance.

Another option to reduce water usage are Toto's high-efficiency toilets. Welcome Home Kitchen and Bath is a proud partner of Toto. Toto toilets have flawless performance and their designs are adaptable. Their high-efficiency flushing system consumes only 1.0 to 1.28 gallons a flush and their nano-technology ceramic glaze minimizes the ability for waste to stick to porous ceramic surfaces.

Wellness

Wellness is going to be a driving force in design for 2024. Continuing from 2023 a spa-like bathroom creates a calming space in our busy lives. It feels good to come home after a long day and take a deep breath while you fill up your freestanding tub and embrace relaxation.

There is an increased interest in showers with added spa-features like steam, body sprays, and luxury hand showers. Or tubs with features like hydrotherapy jets, aromatherapy dispensers, and smart temperature control.

Hand in hand with the desire for wellness is the desire for minimalism. Clutter creates chaos, mentally and visually. To create a soothing space we tend to lean towards minimalism. Extra storage helps in this case and we can create that by choosing a larger vanity.

The style to create a spa-like bathroom centers on warm wood tones, clean lines, and a neutral simplistic colour scheme.

Heated floors have been a choice for a long time but the warmth is being spread. From heated shower walls, and floors to towel warmers, it is all about comfort and luxury.

Vintage

Vintage is making a comeback! Even though minimalism is trending, blending old with modern is gaining popularity. Think vibrant colours, detailed motifs, and ornate details on bathtubs and other fixtures.

Lighting that gives the aesthetic of a candle or a colour scheme with teal green, rosy pink, brass and gold is definitely coming back. This trend brings out more warmth and personality as well.

Think about creative tiles too. Whether it is used as an elaborate backsplash or a statement floor, creative tiles define the visual impact of a bathroom.

Refreshing design

One big theme within bathroom remodeling is to bring fresh possibilities to rejuvenate your space. There is a big shift towards creating a personalized sanctuary. The focus is on combining a beautiful space with functionality.

For smaller spaces we are looking to maximize every square inch. It is all about clever utilization of floor space without having to compromise on style. This can be achieved by installing wall-mounted sinks, floating vanities and multi-functional furniture. We can even turn the tiniest bathroom into a trendy and functional oasis.

It is clear that future bathrooms are intentionally designed to be warm and inviting spaces where we will take time for self-care and wellness.
